- [Instructor] In addition to inserting pre-recorded audio into your Power Point slides, you can also record live audio directly into your presentation. This can be really useful if you need to add something like a voiceover to your slide. As long as you don't need to record anything complex involving multiple tracks or sounds, you can record right into Power Point without the need for any additional software applications. All you need is a microphone plugged into your computer's audio input jack or more commonly these days, a USB microphone that connects to any USB port on your computer. First make sure the microphone is connected, then you just need to make sure it's selected as the input device for your computer. In the great majority of cases, if you plug a microphone into your computer, it will automatically become the default input device, but it's worth double-checking.
