- [Instructor] In addition to adding videos stored on your computer for your PowerPoint presentations, you can also link to videos that are hosted online on sites like YouTube. These days, many video sharing sites allow you to generate an embed code that you can paste into webpages, blogs, and even to PowerPoint presentations so you can play videos from the web directly in your presentation. Now, in order to do this, your computer needs to be connected to the internet during your presentation. Without an internet connection, none of your slides containing links to online videos will work properly. So if you're not sure you're going to have a reliable connection when presenting, you're going to be better off downloading videos onto your computer so you can insert them directly into your slides.
