Inserting 3D models from a file
- [Instructor] New to PowerPoint 2019 and Office 365, you can now insert 3D models into PowerPoint. If you'd like to follow along with this exercise just open up the file 02-01-viola for this chapter's exercise file folder. As for where to find 3D files, there are several places you can find them. If you have your own 3D model that your company has created or that you've purchased from a stock site, you can insert that 3D model right into PowerPoint. Just keep in mind that PowerPoint doesn't accept all 3D file types and smaller, simpler 3D models will work best in my personal experience. If you are importing a 3D model with picture textures, you want to make sure that those pictures are inside the same folder as that 3D model that you're importing. Otherwise you might end up with this ugly, gray 3D model inside PowerPoint that just doesn't look quite right. Now, to insert that 3D model into PowerPoint, go up to your insert tab, to the illustrations group, and click under 3D models…
