Insert shapes and text boxes
- [Instructor] For the MOS exam, there are several objectives around working with graphic elements. We'll start by taking a look at inserting shapes and text boxes. For the MOS exam, you'll need to know how to insert and change shapes, add text to shapes and text boxes, and resize shapes and text boxes. I've opened 04_04 Hotel, and I'll start out by creating a blank slide after slide nine. I'll select slide nine, click the New Slide dropdown, and choose Blank. This gives me a blank canvas to work with. There are a number of shapes to work with, and you can start by clicking Insert on the ribbon and then clicking the Shapes dropdown. Notice as you hover over these, each shape has its own name. I'll start by choosing the triangle, and I'll click and drag to place it on the slide. Next, I'd like to insert an oval, so I'll click the Insert, choose Shapes, and choose the oval. This time, instead of dragging, I'll just click to place a shape on the slide.
