- [Instructor] An important feature in PowerPoint is importing tables. You'll need to know how to copy and paste an existing table from Word or Excel and how to insert a linked object from Word or Excel. These are great options to help you import existing tables from other applications into PowerPoint. I've opened 05_02 Hotel from the exercise file and I'll also open 05_02 Room Rates from the exercise file. The Room Rates file includes the table that exists in Excel that we'd like to bring into PowerPoint. Our first objective is to copy and paste an existing table from Word or Excel. I'll go ahead and highlight the table, including this title row in row one. I'll right mouse click to copy. I'll minimize this Excel window to return to PowerPoint. I'll select select slide eight, then I'll right click and take a look at the paste options.
