Elements of a storyboard

- [Narrator] There are many different versions of storyboards, storyboard templates out there. Just Google it and you'll get a plethora of information. First, let's note that every storyboard should contain some or all of the following information. Text based storyboards focus mainly on, well, text. And they will have text written descriptions of each asset or visual you'll see onscreen and the audio to learner will hear. Text based boards are usually about Microsoft Word or Google Docs in a table format like this one you see here. You can see we start with the lesson title to let everyone know what content the storyboard aligns with. There will usually be space for the screen number you're on so also drop and hear the type of screen this is such as a quiz or an activity. This column will give your developer any graphics notes so if these are your visual instructions detailing what exactly the learner will be seeing on screen from a graphic perspective.
