Eight presentation principles

- [Joel] Have you ever been up against deadline and you can't quite seem to give your presentation that little kick to put it over the top? You start to second it guess yourself. Does this look good? Does this is even make sense? Why are there so many words? After it's all said and done, you send your final file in and and maybe you've thought, I could have done that better. My name is Joel Simmons, and I've been designing presentations for well over 20 years now and it's still the eternal struggle for me. So one day I started thinking about some of the elements that make solid presentations. Not just tangible stuff, like making things pretty, but some of the intangibles that really make for a successful presentation. So I narrowed down these elements and I came up with eight principles. Eight easy things I could do that would always make my presentation stand out. A checklist that I can use over and over in order to create solid decks that are memorable, entertaining, and most importantly, easily convey information to the audience. So now I'm going to share these eight principles with you.
