- [Instructor] Let's talk about the importance of diversity and inclusion in your presentations. It's so easy for us to just check a box and just say, "I have a brown person in this slide", or "I have a person of a different sex or a nationality in this slide, and I'm done", you know, "I've checked my box". And that's not what we want to do when we create our presentations. We want to basically make our company or organization, whoever we're doing the presentation for, basically feel welcoming, so everybody is welcome. You want to be able to appeal to a large audience, whoever this deck is being presented to, you want to be able to appeal to everybody. So a person of color like me, I may look at a slide and just see nobody that looks like me, and I immediately feel, I just don't feel connected to the presentation, just because I don't see anybody like me there.
