- This version of this worksheet is named Compact because I'd like to do some things to make the numbers more compact. We have great data here. If you imagine standing up in front of a room and reading these numbers to people, you begin to understand the problem when people are reading them to themselves, which is, these are very precise numbers, but their very precision makes them difficult for many people to compare them. So what we're going to do is select the numbers in columns D through H. I'm in D10, I'm going to hold Shift and Control, and right arrow and down arrow. And rather than the general format that's been applied, I'm going to go to more number formats. Here's my sample, from the cell that I've selected, and I'm going to choose Custom.
