- [Gini] Every day, tens of millions of Excel users analyze data and create visualizations and tables to be shared with others. In every business day, millions of people around the world deliver or watch PowerPoint presentations based on content from Excel. When the business data behind those presentations changes, the presentations also need to change. And so millions of people fire up PowerPoint and start editing. It seems like there should be an easier way to create and update presentations. I'm Gini von Courter. Several years ago, I was asked to help a national sales team deal with what they had identified as one of their greatest challenges, customizing and then updating their PowerPoint presentations. I quickly learned that the problems they were having couldn't be solved in PowerPoint without first solving them in Excel. This course will help you craft content in Excel for use in presentations. It will also give you guidance about linking or embedding that content in PowerPoint and formatting and animating your tables, charts, and other Excel objects that you ultimately place in your presentation. If you've ever wondered about how to leverage Microsoft Office to create compelling, low-maintenance presentations based on data, please join me for this exploration of data-driven presentations using both Excel and PowerPoint.
