Change the size of slides - PowerPoint Tutorial
From the course: PowerPoint Quick Tips
Change the size of slides
- [Narrator] You may need to change the size or aspect ratio of your slides to match a specific screen or print size. Go to the Design ribbon, then to Slide Size. By default, presentations are in the 16 by nine ratio to fit most modern screens. You can switch to standard four by three if you need your slides to fit an older display, or choose custom slide size to choose something else. Four by three and 16 by 10 are common alternatives for screens and projectors, or you can choose a paper size to fit the slides to a printed page. Make your selection, then hit Okay. The Maximize option is good to make things larger to fit the new shape and Ensure Fit is good when you need to make things smaller to fit. This may take some trial and error. Choose an option, and check your slides. You may need to do some edits after making this change. Notice, for example, how my logo now appears stretched.
