- [Instructor] Animation is a great way to add visual interest to your slides, and help you emphasize key points. For the MOS exam, you'll want to know how to apply animations to objects, apply animations to text, set animation effect options, and set animation paths. So I've opened 05_02 Hotel from the exercise files folder, and we'll start out by applying an animation to objects, such as shapes, pictures, charts, tables, and SmartArt. I'll start out by selecting slide four, and we'll apply some animation to the marble arch. My first task is to apply the wipe animation. I'll select the marble arch, and click the animations tab. Notice the animation gallery on the ribbon. I can click the down arrow here, to notice the different types of animations. It's important to notice that there are entrance animations at the top, and exit animations at the bottom. Some of these have the same name.
