- [Instructor] The next style you can apply to videos from the Video Effects menu is Soft Edges. With the video selected, come up to the Format tab to Video Effects and come down to Soft Edges. As before, we have this gallery of presets that appear. The amount of blur goes from one point, which is very subtle, up to 50 points, which actually cuts into the outer edges of the content. So as you can see, all this really does is soften the edges of the video so instead of a solid rectangle of video, the edges of the video start to blur. You might want to add an effect like this to create a romantic or elegant or dreamlike tone. Maybe I'll select the 10 point version. You can see that there. And as with the other effects, you can customize the Soft Edge effect by selecting Soft Edge options, and we can scroll down here and find Soft Edges, and as usual, we'll find the same presets here, as well as some additional controls.
