In this video, staff author Jess Stratton shows you how object layering works in PowerPoint to bring objects that are hidden to the front of the view.
- [Instructor] You might want to come up…with a slide like this, with these graphics,…but it's hard if you don't have a graphics department…or access to a company stock footage site.…We can do this with icons,…and we can even make good icons look better…by putting them behind shapes.…It's also a good way to learn the skill of object layering.…I'll create a new blank slide…and now we'll start by copying this text.…I'll select each text box by holding down the Shift key…and hit Command + C on my keyboard to copy it.…
Now I'll come to my new slide…and hit Command + V to paste it.…I'll change the color so that…we can see it a little more clearly.…Now, let's add some icons.…I'll change to the Insert Ribbon tab, click Icons,…and a pane will open up on the right hand side.…While categorized, you can also scroll through this list.…Take some time to go through it.…They're all categorized, and you can create…great-looking presentations with these icons alone.…It comes with a long list to choose from.…I'm going to scroll back up to choose the ones…
