In this video, staff author Jess Stratton shows you how to crop images and photos to interesting shapes and other sizes for great-looking slides.
- [Instructor] You can crop an image to a shape.…Let's take a look at this slide,…where I just inserted two images.…That's all I've done,…but right now these images are competing.…They're both the same size.…I'd like the focus to be on this image on the left,…but I still want the one on the right…to be in the background in some way.…So, I'll crop the one on the right to a neat design.…With the picture selected, change to the Picture Format tab,…and then click the Down Arrow, next to the Crop tool.…I'll hover my mouse over Crop to Shape.…Now we can find a nice shape…that this picture will look good in.…
I'll choose an arrow, and find one that's good…for a tech company like Red 30.…I'll choose this chevron.…My image gets cropped to that shape.…It still looks a little confusing,…but what I can do now is select this image…and stretch it all the way to fill up…that white gap on the right.…If these images were having the wrong overlap,…I could always secondary click on this photo,…and choose to bring it towards the front…
