In this video, staff author Jess Stratton shows you how to add and format video clips onto a slide. Discover all the available controls, as well as how to adjust playback settings, such as trimming the clip.
- [Instructor] You can add a video to your slides.…I'll create a new blank slide.…And to insert a video, change to the Insert ribbon tab.…All the way to the right-hand side of the screen,…click video,…and then Movie from file…to browse for one on your computer.…I have a movie in the assets folder,…so I'll click on it and choose Insert.…If you do have a video file…and PowerPoint's not letting you click on it or insert it,…then it's probably some type of file format…that PowerPoint can't open.…So you'll need to convert it…in order to put it on the slide.…But it's letting me do this one.…
It puts it in and it fills up the entire slide.…At this point, it's going to work just like an image.…I certainly don't have to,…it looks great filling up the entire slide,…but I could resize it if I wanted to…and move it around on the slide.…I can also see that I have two new tabs.…There's a Video Format tab for how it looks…and a Playback tab for how it's going to act.…The Format tab is very similar to that of an image.…You can change styles, you can even crop your video…
