Validate, save, and activate the business rule
- [Instructor] In this movie I want to show you how you can choose to save and validate and activate your business rule. The problem I have is I actually saved this already. So I'm going to show you what I did. Where it used to say New Business Rule, I entered a name for this which is Calculate Price. I entered a description, so that when I go in here two years from now and need to change this because the hourly rate has changed, I don't have to wonder about how this rule is written. This is a description really for myself, for other folks who are app makers. Having entered the business rule and the information, don't click back in these until you save. You can close it up and click save to save this. And when you save, validation happens automatically. But you can validate apart from the save, you can simply click validate at any point in time, and validate, and it says, yep, everything's fine. If it says something isn't fine, it will highlight the component whether it's a condition…
