Visualizations are used to create reports. You can filter all the visualizations on a report page by simply clicking on a data element in a visualization. From a report, selected visualizations can then be pinned to a dashboard to share with colleagues. A visualization pinned to a dashboard is called a tile. You can display a tile full screen in focus mode.
- Later on when when we will be sharing…our data and analysis,…we won't be sharing reports.…We'll actually be sharing dashboards.…You and I, as the authors have access…to the data set and the report,…but people who we share this with…will start with the dashboard.…The dashboard is presentation of one or more…of the visualization that we have in our report.…This is a nice collection, this particular dashboard.…You'll recognize some of these tiles from the report,…for example, the Total Sales Variance,…This Year's Sales, and Last Year's Sales.…
And, your users can do a few things here…with these specific visualizations.…They can click and open it in focus mode, for example.…Focus mode lets you focus on just one slide.…Seems kinda silly when it's text,…but when I look, for example, at a chart in focus mode,…then this gives me the ability to…view the entire chart…in more depth, perhaps, the ability to more easily…read the data labels and the axis labels.…
Other things that users can do with the chart,…they can export to Excel, edit details, view insights,…
