Use CALCULATE to create a simple filter

- [Woman] CALCULATE is markedly different and more powerful than the functions that we have access to in Excel. With CALCULATE there's only a couple of pieces of information that we're providing. First, we're providing something that is either a measure, or is a formula that we could save as a measure. And then we provide one or more filters, that we'd like to be able to apply, during this calculation. In other words we're overwriting the filters that are already being applied and providing filters of our own. For example, if we were looking at our products table, we could say that we wanted to calculate the number of products, but, only where the product manufacturer is Contoso. Number of products, is an existing measure that we already created, so it's calculating using all of the products, but we can apply a filter for Contoso only. Or, we could provide a filter that says only where the unit cost of the product is…
