Starting a Power BI project
- [Instructor] To start a new project in Power BI or to open up an existing project in Power BI, you first need to open up Microsoft Power BI. Now, the first thing that you could do is if you had an icon on your desktop for Microsoft Power BI, you could just click on it, and then watch the program load. I personally don't have that icon on my own desktop. So since I'm in a Windows 10 environment, one of the options that I have is this search bar down at the bottom of the screen. Now, not everybody in a Windows 10 environment has this turned on. But if you do, you can just click in here and you can start to just type in Power BI, and then you'll see the Power BI Desktop that you installed. And by clicking on that icon, it will launch Microsoft Power BI. Your other option would be to come down here to the Windows start menu, scroll down.
