Getting around in Power BI
- [Instructor] In this video we're going to take a tour of the Power BI desktop. That way you'll know some of the ins and outs of the application and can follow along with some of the terminology in the upcoming demonstrations. So let's go ahead and open up the application and have a look around. So I'll open that up from my Start menu. Now, Power BI is not unlike some of the other Microsoft applications that you might be used to, starting with the Ribbon at the top. So we have our File menu, and then we have a series of additional context menus. First with our Home menu that provides access to our data. Our View menu, which provides additional view options for our data modeling. Our Modeling tab, which provides additional functionality for our data modeling. And then our Help menu. Now, on the left-hand side we have three icons that provide a gateway to three different default views within the primary canvas window. The first is the Report view, which we're on right now.
