- Now here's another requirement for using Excel and PowerApps together. Your Excel data source needs to be stored in a place where PowerApps is able to access the information, which means online somewhere. By default, all new Excel online files are going to be saved into the creator's OneDrive. So I'll be using OneDrive for saving data and apps during this course because it's easy, and this may be okay for you too, but that's going to depend on a couple of factors. First of all, is your organization using OneDrive? A lot of companies don't, although it is part of the O365 ecosystem, and, may I say, it makes life so much easier. Now sharing files in OneDrive is very very simple. We click the ellipsis, and we click share, we get a little dialog here. Now, I don't want to send a link to this.
