- One of the biggest problems that I think we as photographers need to change is the fact that we oftentimes try to shoot what we think other people want. Time and time again in a portfolio review, I'll have someone show me an ad for a company or something that they've seen done over and over, and they really wanna do that. And I get it, it's exciting, and you'd love to work with that client and on a certain type of thing, but the problem with chasing is once you maybe get your work to be at a certain level or it starts to resemble that thing that you were originally inspired by, no one wants to purchase or hire you to do that again, because it's already been done. People don't want something that they have been doing for a period of time. They also don't want something that they've seen before. People want something that's unique and original.
