- Well, I went and changed my lens to a 35 fixed. The focus is a little bit faster on this one than that older lens I was using before. While I liked the zoom, I know that for this situation, what kind of environmental shots I'm looking for, and I'm looking for more of her arms and her body, and so I wanted to have a wider angled lens that could really capture the action fast while I was focusing and while we were on this challenging situation of the moving swing. So what right now what we're going to go over while she's sitting here is the difference between lighting from the front and lighting from behind, and why I'm choosing to light her with the sun behind her which is called backlit. It's a consistent shadow on her face instead of being one where she's having some stripes and things running across her face.
