- [Instructor] Fit plane has many uses when modeling on a point cloud. We can use the plane to set our UCS to locate the edges and corners of our components. And once you start to use the software more, you're going to find many more uses for planes. Let's take a look at the basics. So I'm going to just navigate to my point cloud here, you know, zoom in on some of these concrete supports that we see around the piping. I turn my grid off, and we're going to take a look at this area here, and this area here. So let's look to see. And we have some good point coverage on this base. So I'm going to just clip this area out of the point cloud using my Define Polygon. And I'm going to just clip that back again. I'm going to take the floor out 'cause I want to make sure that we don't have any, we're picking straight points here, so I'm just going to clip the floor out.
