- [Instructor] VirtuSurv is a tool that comes with PointSense and allows us to pick the points that we need from a planar image rather than from the point cloud in AutoCAD. When we zoom into an area of points in AutoCAD, the points always disperse a a little. When we zoom into the same area in VirtuSurv, the image stays clear, so this really helps us when we're locating items such as flanges and valves because we can often see a clearer edge in VirtuSurv than we can in the point cloud. Let's take a look at how VirtuSurv can help us model. So let's navigate to our exercise file. So desktop, Exercise Files, chapter 09_01. So now I'm going to minimize this so that we can look at VirtuSurv on the same screen. So here we have our point cloud, and I'm going to open up our corresponding VirtuSurv project.
