Fit Outline Plan
- [Instructor] Here we go with chapter five, Modeling Tools. Creating outlines such as foundation location plans or equipment location plans is pretty straightforward using some of the PointSense tools. We have a tool called Fit Outline Plan that allows us to fit a line to a point cloud slice, effectively tracing the points. This makes it much easier to develop line work without getting lost in the points. So let's go ahead and open our exercise file. We're going to open, we're going to navigate to our desktop, exercise files, and we want chapter 05_01. Now, when we work with point clouds or fitting tools, we have to use a slice for that. So we already looked at slicing in a previous chapter, so I'm not going to to through that again. I've created one inside this drawing, and if we look here, you can see we have our All Points, I'm going to just change that and turn on Foundations. Again, we're going to make that look a little clearer, so I'm just going to click on the point cloud…
