- [Presenter] In order to attach a point cloud to AutoCAD, you must use a ReCap file. The ReCap file is a file that stores the millions of points captured from a laser scanner, and it organizes them in a way that makes it much quicker to navigate through AutoCAD, allowing us to visualize, measure, and build on the points inside most Autodesk CAD platforms. We're going to create a ReCap file using some already registered point clouds. From your desk top, we're going to open ReCap. ReCap is a program that comes with AutoCAD, so you should have that already installed on your local machine. Now we're going to create our scan project. We're going to come up to the scan project button. And we're going to call our project Piping Project. And then we're going to choose the location, just going to click on the location file, navigate to our Desktop, Exercise Files. Now, I'm going to create a folder in here. And I'm going to call it ReCap. Now, it's good practice to organize these files…
