Placing stairs
- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at laying out our stairs using PointSense and VirtuSurv. We can determine the placement of the stairs by picking points from the point cloud and having them translate into 2D annotations on the drawing. Now I've gone ahead and added the banisters to our layout. So if we look at our current layout there, I've just placed a little bit of line work so that we just need to have a boundary for where the stairs actually start and stop. So I'm going to just reduce the size of my AutoCAD window a little bit here. We're going to jump into VirtuSurv and we're going to open up the house project. Now I'm going to be looking for the best view on the stairs and it's going to be this scan right here. Now we don't have enough information on the scans to get all the way up, so we're just going to take this up to the first bend here. The process would work if we were able to go all the way around, but we don't have that information on the front of the stairs. This…
