Fit Cylinder
- [Instructor] Fitting a cylinder is a useful tool since working with cylindrical shapes in a point cloud can be difficult at best. Let's take a look at three different methods we have to fit a cylinder to the point cloud. Now let's click off our all points and what I've done is I've isolated a section of cylinders, either under your current or you can just go to cylinders here. So let's take a look here. These were on the outside of the building and these were the shutter rollers that we had or the shutter cases. So to fit a cylinder, we're going to go out to our modeling tab and look at the options. So we can fit a cylinder using two points, using all the visible points, or we can fit a cylinder using multiple pick points. So let's go through the different methods. First of all, I'm going to use visible points. So I'm just going to come out and I'm going to isolate these points little bit of a cylindrical shape here.
