- [Instructor] Cylindrical analysis is always a big part of any as-built process, since we very often have to look at items such as columns, piping, lampposts, telegraph poles, and many other cylindrical objects to see if they're sagged, shifted or deformed over time. This is often a complex procedure, but we should take a look at the simple cylindrical analysis as part of our basic course. I've gone ahead and isolated a part of the point cloud here with some cylinders. Let me turn on that section. And I'm going to take a look just at one of these cylinders here. So let's go ahead and just clip one of these out. I'm just going to grab this area here. We just want that one section. And we're going to use this for our analysis. Now you see I don't have the full cylinder here but it's enough to show you a little bit how this works with the point cloud.
