Creating slices

- [Instructor] Now, similar to creating sections we can also create slices through a point cloud. Now creating slices allows us to see specific areas that are aligned to your AutoCAD UCS. So, for example, we can create slices that allow us to see just the floor, or just the ceiling as they run parallel to the XY axis in your UCS. Or we can create a slice that's parallel to the YZ axis that'll show us sections through the walls, or some elevations in a little more detail. Again, this is a feature that you'll likely need to see to understand so let's go and play a little bit. Now I'm going to turn off my grid, and we're going to look at slicing. So there's a few things I want you to take a look at here. I'm going to work with an elevation view here, and you really need to have an understanding of the AutoCAD UCS because we're going to be referring to the various different axis as we create the slices.
