- [Instructor] Once you have your VirtuSurv project set up, you can always go back and take a look at the display settings in order to make it easier to see the points in the display window. Just by changing the photographic image to gray scale, we can bring out a higher level of detail than we can see in just a color image. I'll show you what I mean. Let's go to our exercise files and then inside our VirtuSurv folder, I'm going to launch the piping project. In here we can look and see all of our scans. When we zoom in here, we can see that the scans are fairly easy to see. There's a fair amount of detail in here. But we have to bear in mind this was created with a scanner, so the actual laser scan points are not degraded by light. Photographic images always have reflective light that sometimes make it a little bit difficult to see if you've got reflections.
