Use sectioning tools
- [Instructor] One of the most powerful features of PointSense is the sectioning tools. Having the ability to crop out areas of the point cloud makes it so much easier to work with AutoCAD. We can reduce the number of points on screen which speeds up navigation, and also by clipping out the points we don't need, we can isolate areas that we want to work in and see everything clearly. Let's make a few sections and practice using the clipping tools. So we're going to take a quick look at the sectioning tools that we have to use here. So first of all, we're going to go to our ribbon menu and we're going to look for sections. And you'll see here that we see this button here, which gives rectangular sectioning. So if we use the down button here, we can look at doing a rectangle, define a rectangle, and based on the graphic, you can tell everything inside the rectangle stays, everything outside goes.
