- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Nick Brazzi. In this course we'll be doing a brief introduction into Microsoft Planner, which is a web-based project management tool in Microsoft's Office 365 suite. It's great for keeping track of multiple projects, assigning team members to certain tasks, and monitoring tasks as work progresses. We'll start by seeing how you can access Microsoft Planner on the web through an Office 365 business account. We'll create a new plan, which is what you use to organize all of the team members and assignments for a specific project.
We'll create tasks which are targeted to-do items and we'll assign them to team members so that every essential action item in the project can be tracked and accounted for. I'll take a look at how to monitor the plan to see which tasks are on schedule, which are behind schedule, and which are completed. I'll also look at moving tasks to other team members when one person falls behind schedule, and how to use comments to communicate vital information related to each task. Planner is fairly small, so this course is not very long.
It won't take long to learn the basics of creating plans, making assignments, and monitoring the progress as work is done.
