PlanGrid and its Workspaces feature are not just for general contractors. In this video, Jim discusses how workspaces can enable effortless collaboration between a general contractor and a subcontractor or trade contractor who may both already have PlanGrid enterprise accounts, and discusses how this enables the subcontractor to use PlanGrid to manage their team while ensuring that the team is using the latest plans and documents.
- [Instructor] There are so many different ways…that I think you can leverage this workspaces feature…that I wanted to give you one more example.…I know there are plenty of general contractors…using PlanGrid to manage their company's projects…and they end up inviting their trade contractors…as collaborators or power collaborators…when they bring them on to that particular project.…Now sometimes that's the point at which that subcontractor…signs a few of their people up for PlanGrid accounts…and they all start working together on the project.…But I will tell you…that there are also plenty of subcontractors out there…or trade contractors out there…who also have PlanGrid Enterprise accounts already.…
They use that to request digital copies of plans…and use those features in PlanGrid…to do their own work more efficiently…even when the general contractor isn't using PlanGrid.…The question though is what happens when these two collide?…What happens when a general contractor…using a PlanGrid Enterprise account hires a trade contractor…
