Enhance the appearance of shapes
- [Voiceover] Now, there's a lot of shapes built in and of course, you can load extras, but what happens if you want to modify them or combine them? Well fortunately, you can and you can create your own custom shapes by merging them together. Let me show ya. I've got a compound shape here started and what I've done is brought in a couple of objects. Now, let's take a look here at the group and what I wanna do is manipulate this a bit. What you're seeing is that there's two individual shapes, as well as some textures. Well, what can we do here? Well, let's start to manipulate it a bit. First up, I'm gonna turn off the layer styles. Let's select that shape there and that looks pretty good. Here's the next one. Just a gradient, not bad, and I'll turn off the drop shadow on that arrow. Alright, what we can now do is start to modify. So, for example, let's duplicate this and with the two objects selected, we can start to create a new compound shape.
