Create a new layer from FaceTime
- In the past, we used to rely upon devices like scanners, to capture images and pull them into the computer. These days you may not have a scanner, but your computer likely has a web camera, and if you just need to quickly capture something, you can actually use FaceTime on your Mac to do so. Let me show you how. In Pixelmator I'll choose file, new, to make a new document. And click okay. Now I'm gonna add a new layer. Lets make this fullscreen. And I'll choose layer, new layer. Now, you have a choice of what you wanna make. I'm gonna choose to make this layer from FaceTime. And click okay. It now brings up my web camera, and you see me, talk into my computer. Now what we can do is take something, like a piece of paper and an object. I've got a small pin here, and I'm just gonna stick it through the paper, to make this a little easier to hold this all. And slip that object onto it, so now I can suspend it in front of the camera. There we go. And we'll click the capture button…
