With Pix4D, mapping in 2D or 3D is possible with just about any type of camera, including thermal cameras. In this video, explore an example of a series of thermal images stitched together using Pix4D from a DJI Inspire drone with a thermal camera mounted on it.
- [Instructor] With Pix4D, mapping in 2D or 3D … is possible with just about any type of camera, … including thermal cameras. … In this video, I will demonstrate … a series of thermal images that were … stitched together using Pix4D from a DJI Inspire drone … with a thermal camera mounted on it. … So the first thing that I did … is I got Level One Thermography certified … with a specialty in sUAS, … and that was done through an organization … that does this certification all over the world. … And what was really nice about that … is they had all the equipment for us out there in the field … and we learned about emissivity, and radiation, … and how heat is transferred, … and all kinds of fun stuff about thermal radiation there. … So what we did is we took a bunch of images, … and there is probably maybe a hundred images here, … and because they were overlapping … and we had an Inspire mapping mode, … And it did it pretty well. … and what's even better is it's measurable, … so if I go down here, these are big plates …
