- [Instructor] There are a couple of unspoken rules…of using Pinterest that most users follow.…And while none of these are set in stone,…it's a good idea to keep them in mind.…First of all, since almost all of the pins…on Pinterest boards come from other websites…or content creators, it's important to make sure…you're always linking back to the original source…where you found that content.…Now we already know that when you pin content…to one of your boards, anyone clicking on that pin…can see info about it including the website…where the image came from.…So they can click this link to go directly…to the source of the pin and see the photo…in its original context.…
But we also know that you can edit a pin.…And here in the website field, you can technically…enter any website address you want.…Now at the very least it's considered bad form…and at the worst, deceptive to link a pin…to a website or other content that has nothing…to do with the pin itself.…Especially if it's being used to trick someone…into going to a particular site.…
