The on, target, and texture controls
- [Instructor] Probably one of the most obvious controls found on the VRayLight is the on checkbox, which, as you would probably expect, determines whether or not the light adds illumination to our scene. So with a check in the box, which is the default, we will get diffuse, specular and reflection lighting when we render. And with no check, we will get nothing. From this particular light, that is, if we have all the lights in the scene, then they will, of course, continue to add illumination to the environment if they themselves are still turned on. Now of course, there are, generally speaking, other ways in which we could, if needed, control whether or not a light object adds illumination to our environment. For instance, in some applications and render engines, if we turn the lights visibility off such as by turning off its layer in the scene explorer, then that automatically cancels out its ability to add illumination…
