- [Narrator] In this final exercise for the chapter, we're going to be taking a look at the unique controls that can be accessed whenever we work with a mesh light in the scene. With our V-ray plane light selected in the viewport then, let's make the switch over in the command panel to using a mesh light. Now of course, as we have already seen, we still aren't lighting with a mesh light at this point as denoted by the stand-in box shape that our light has assumed, something that it does when no mesh has been specified. What we need to do next then, is open up the mesh light rollout and then after clicking on the pick mesh button, select the branch object in the scene. If I then go ahead and render, we can see that we definitely have a very unique-looking light in the scene that is helping highlight the subsurface nature of the materials applied to our vase and leaves.
