A brief Quick Selection refresher
- [Voiceover] Alright, so just as when you're first learning how to how to work with the color range command, it's best understood in the context of the magic wand tool. The focus area command is best understood in the context of this guy right here, the quick selection tool. And that's because both focus area and quick selection are edge detection functions. Now I'll here a lot of folks say you know the quick selection tool, not that great of a tool, but it's a heck of a lot better than the magic wand tool. Which may or may not be true depending on what kind of image you're working on. But the fact of the matter is they couldn't be farther apart. They work totally differently than each other. And so, before we take a look a focus area, we're gonna take a quick look at exactly what's going on with the quick selection tool. Alright, so I'm gonna go ahead and select that tool and then I'll switch back to the layers panel. And I'm gonna get rid of that dreams time layer just by pressing…
