In this chapter we're going to talk about how to use Studio strobes. it's a different type of lighting than we've demonstrated so far. And the type of lighting we're going to use, we're going to use a Speedotron, a black line strobe equipment. this is equipment I've had for well over 20 years now. It's incredibly durable. And at the time I got it, I needed the power. back in olden times, when we shot film, film was incredibly slow. And we were doing a lot of room scene work. And so we were shooting eight by ten film. Typically at f22 or 32 with a film speed of less than 100. So we needed tremendous amounts of power to create enough light to get an effective photograph. These are so durable, I've never seen any need to replace them. essentially what the power pack is, it's, it's a power pack and a remote head that attaches to the power pack.
