Working with multiple objects

Now we have several 3D elements that we want to put together. However, as it is now, they exist totally independent of each other. By merging 3D layers together, we'll be able to control where different models are relative to each other. So let's go to our Layers palette and let's select all the different 3D layers by holding down Shift and clicking on them. So we got the top one selected. I'm going to hold down Shift and click the bottom layer. So let's confirm that this got everything. Okay, so all three of our 3D layers are selected. Now let's go up to the 3D menu, and hit Merge 3D Layers. So this is kind of like taking 2D layers and collapsing them together. Now all of the different objects exist on one layer. So this means that orbiting the camera will now orbit around all the different objects together. This is because all the models are now in the same space, whereas before they were each on their own layers and therefore in their own independent 3D spaces. Now one issue that…
