Wood type effect
- [Instructor] In this movie I'd like to show you how to create this wood type effect using randomly chosen letters, as if these we're the only letters available in the type case, and then applying a texture to the result. This actually starts out in Illustrator because Illustrator has this fantastic feature called the Touch Type tool that allows us to mix up the baselines of our type, and make our type look a little bit more, well, imperfect, and that's what we're after here. Here I am in Illustrator and I'm going to choose my first piece of type, and then press Command or Control + T to bring up my character panel. I need to see the Touch Type tool, if you don't see this then just come to your panel menu and choose show Touch Type tool. Now I can click on the Touch Type tool and, letter by letter, I can select the letter and I can rotate it, I could scale it, and then move on to the next one and just slightly adjust the baselines. Do that for all of the letters. So, I've done that…
