- [Instructor 1] In this movie, we're going to do a recap of wide angle optics. So we looked at this topic back in the fundamentals course but it's worth reviewing in context right now, and we're going to add in a few more details to this as well. So for starters here, we're going to recap the swimming pool example because it's rife with straight lines. - [Instructor 2] So we're going to take a look at the field of view of two of the workhorse lenses for wide angle underwater photography. The first one is a 16 millimeter rectilinear lens, and that's going to provide us with a 107 degree diagonal field of view. Now remember that these numbers are top side angles, so underwater they're going to be slightly narrower. But for demonstration purposes, we're going to use those numbers. - [Instructor 1] So just bear in mind that this is a diagonal measurement from one corner to the opposite corner of your scene. - [Instructor 2] So now let's take at that other workhorse lens, the 15…
