White seamless background

- One of the most versatile backdrops that you can have in your photo collection is a white seamless. A white seamless can be anything from a simple white bed sheet to roll of white paper, or as we have here, a vinyl white seamless. The vinyl white is extra nice because it's easy to clean and hard to wrinkle, but whatever you're using, the end result is the same, a very flexible background. Why is it flexible? You could make a white seamless anything from pure white to pure black, any shade of gray in between, or as you're about to see, depending on how we light it, we can even put a gradient across it. It's really, really cool. So we're gonna start off with this ceremonial axe. As you can see here, it is dug into this big block of styrafoam, propped up nicely. I have a single LED light shining on it right now. This is a Felix light, and the barn doors on the light are blocking the light from hitting the backdrop, so it's only hitting the axe itself.
