What's new in the update

- We originally shot this course in 2014, but now in 2018, I'm adding a short revision, mostly to the end of the course, so if I seem to look different in some places, that's why, but more importantly, if Photoshop seems to look different on your screen than it does in these videos, that's because Adobe has made some interface changes since we shot the original course. Fortunately, these changes are all cosmetic. The current version of Photoshop has a darker color now and Photoshop contains its entire interface in a single window. It wasn't like that in 2014. This change in color scheme extends through everything in Photoshop, including the print dialogue. Now obviously, in a course about printing, the print dialog is pretty important but while yours might be a different color, rest assured that all of the controls and the control layout that appear in this course are identical to what's currently in Photoshop CC 2018. Some other tools such as the Unsharp Mask dialog box now have a slightly different layout, but all of the same controls that you'll see in these movies. As I mentioned in the last video, I use a fairly simple tool set when preparing images for print. We originally shot this course using Photoshop CS6 but you could easily achieve the same effects with even earlier versions of Photoshop, though your Print dialog might be different. But again, if you're using something newer than CS6, you've got more than what you need to complete this course. Icons and colors might look different, but you should be able to follow along with no problem.
