Join Timothy Sexton for an in-depth discussion in this video What you should know, part of Photoshop Retouching: Faces.
In this next course we're going to focus on faces by way of portraiture photography. We will touch upon key aspects of retouching portraits with an emphasis on training your mind to begin seeing a direction before you make your first clone stamp move. To get the most out of this course, you should already have a reasonable knowledge of photoshop's functionalities. If you need a refresher there are some great courses on lynda.com to bring you up to speed on tool basics. Before we begin, let's go over some of the technical aspects of your setup and use of tools. I am more of the artist than a technician to my frustrations at times, when I can't make something happen right away Or make something happen in a less time consuming way.
Most of my work is done with a few tools. There are so many ways to do the same thing in Photoshop. Finding your own way through trial and error pays off after a while. So while I use the same tools over and over, I am by no means limited to them. It's aspects of these tool functions that I have mastered over time. That helped me to creatively solve problems. I always encourage you to try these methods out and approve upon them. Let's take a look at some of my settings.
